The MCR is a sports prototype racing car and the whole car is built in Wales, using the latest technology and high quality components. The MCR S2 is built for speed, endurance and good looks, is very robust and easy to service and maintain. Various engines and transmissions can be fitted. The S2 is the perfect race car for racing championships, racing schools, sprints and hillclimbs or trackdays. This particular model is also suitable for the Sports 2000 Championship Duratec races.
The MCR S2, comes ready to race in a choice of colours. The bodywork is made from lightweight GRP, complete with a single element carbon fibre rear wing with adjustable angle. It is powered by a standard Sports 2000 spec Ford Duratec 2 litre engine producing approximately 200bhp and is driven through a Sadev or Hewland 5-speed sequential gearbox. Racing brakes are supplied by Wilwood and it is fitted with a Data Logger DL1 with Dash 4.
In 2017 the company introduced the MCR 02 which has considerably more power than the S2 and is suitable to run in a number of championships including the BRSCC OS. Powered by the 1.6 litre Ecoboost engine with Hybrid Turbo producing approx 350 bhp, it can be driven either through a Hewland 6 speed JFR with LSD and paddle shift system, with traction control and launch control. All other specification similiar to S2.
